The year is slowly coming to an end and with that Matrix is looking for new volunteers as Matrix's actives!

Welcome to spend your evening at Matlu Klusteri on Thursday 13th of November starting at 6 PM. You can get in by ringing the doorbell labeled "Christina Regina". At the event you can enjoy delicious food and drinks and get to know Matrix's student organizational activities!

There will be an informative presentation about all the things that you can do in Matrix and casual chatting with Matrix's current actives. You can also express your interest towards roles that are chosen in the Statutory Fall Meeting (on Nov 26th) by writing your name to this table: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1T2AOkNthzTDJoW09pFTIvaOkEY9b31xP0q5Crtig5IE/edit. Participating or expressing interest doesn't require you to become a Matrix active. Matrix is based on volunteering, but it is exceptionally rewarding and valuable!

Accessibility information: A small threshold at the front door. Heavy doors, entry by ringing the doorbell. Accessible toilet outside the Klusteri space itself, accessed using the elevator. In some places, the passageways are narrow. Potentially noisy, no separate quiet room.

This event is directed at the seniors of Matrix, meaning alumni or at least a 5th-year mathematics student.

Welcome to the Matrix autumn senior event on Friday 14th of November at 5 PM at All Star Sports Bar & Grill (Hämeentie 35)! At the bar, you can hang out and catch up with old friends in a relaxed atmosphere, or if you wish, take part in the pub quiz starting at 7 PM!

After the bar, a sauna session has been reserved for seniors from 9–10 PM at Tuulensuunkuja 3 A. Going to the sauna is not required to participate in the event, but if you want to join, please bring a swimsuit and a towel. Also, please bring your own drinks and snacks for the evening. The night will continue at the Tuulensuunkuja club room at least until midnight! :)

Sensations of a great sporting celebration are in the air!

Welcome to battle your way to take the throne as Matrix's Beer Pong champions on Sunday, November 16th at the familiar address of Leppäsuonkatu 11. The occasion starts at 5 PM with going over the rules of the game, where at least one team member must be present. Registration is done as a team consisting of two people. The first 16 teams get to battle in the tournament, i.e. 32 players in total. The champions are rewarded with a prestigious rotating prize, where the name of the winning team is engraved into. If you are interested in being a referee at the tournament, please contact Luukas (TG: @luukas05). Registration is required for players only, feel free to join the event as a spectator.

Registration starts on this page on Tuesday, November 4th at 2 PM. In the registration form you need to type in the names of both team members and the name of your team.

Are you considering pursuing a career in consulting? Join Matrix, Integrallis and Resonanssi in our joint visit to EY Helsinki!!

We will hear about EY consulting and you will have the opportunity to chat with EY consultants over pizza (Yeah, you read right, free pizza!!).

Registration for the event closes on Friday 14th of November at 12:00.

Are you about to graduate and thinking about what to do afterwards? Or are you planning on applying for a summer job? Whatever the case, come to this Career Night by Matrix and Moodi and meet some young mathematicians and statisticians working in the industry.

The event will be a low-threshold networking event where you will have time to talk quietly with Matrix and Moodi alumni at the start of their career. You can ask them for insights of working at their companies, summer job opportunities or advice for your application in a relaxed atmosphere.

The general fall meeting for Matrix is coming up on Wednesday the 26th of November at 4 PM in Exactum room C323. In the meeting, the board for 2026 will be chosen including the chair, vice chair, treasurer, secretary, up to 6 other members of the board and up to 6 vice members of the board. We will also go through the plan of action and budget for the year 2026. In addition to this, we will also select one anniversary party master and three fresher and tutor coordinators for the year 2026. Furthermore, we'll update the board ribbon guideline in the meeting if needed and discuss any other matters.

All Matrix members are welcome to come to the meeting! The official members have a right to a vote at the meeting, and all non-voting/auxiliary members have a right to attend. Before the meeting, please make sure on the website on your own page that you are an official member of Matrix, if you wish to vote or apply for some position. If you haven’t paid the membership fee yet, but wish to apply for a position, please contact vice chair Anni Nurmi as soon as possible.
